YOUR DREAMS COME INTO YOUR LIFE
Singer, wife and mom. And content creator for you! So, let me tell you a little bit more about myself: I was born in Misiones, Argentina, on June 17th, 1988, but I am of German origin, where the myth of Lorelei comes from. She was a sweet golden-haired Mermaid who, from the top of a cliff or the banks of the Rhine, sang love songs. And with her beautiful voice, she hypnotized sailors. My parents, guessing how much I was going to love singing, called me Lorelei Tarón. Musical culture has always been very present in my family. My father played the saxophone and my mother sang in the church choir. Therefore, I started singing at a very young age along with other children in Sunday school. But we all had to know how to play an instrument, so I learned to play the piano. I confess that at first, I didn’t like it at all. My parents kind of forced me to study classical piano at the conservatory and I cried every time I had to go to class because my passion was singing. However, one day while I was singing in the choir, they realized that I had talent and they began to encourage me to sing some solos, but I died of embarrassment! I could sing at home or with other children, but to sing in front of everyone made my legs shake. However, as I got older, my shyness disappeared. I started travelling and singing in other cities, in weddings, conferences and I had my own band that followed me everywhere. I also really liked writing, so I started composing my own songs. That was when I realized that my voice was my instrument and the piano a wonderful companion, which would come with me in all my removals.
ABOUT MY FAMILY
I am an adventurer. I like changes. I like challenges and I adapt easily to all situations, although some are more difficult than others.
That’s why at 17, longing to pursue my dream of becoming a singer, I moved to Buenos Aires and began my studies of lyrical singing at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Teatro Colón.
While studying, I played the piano and sang in the choir of Rey de Reyes church. It was around that time that I met Falcao, whom God clearly put in my path, since he also attended the same Church. Since then, we have become a team, supporting each other through thick and thin, growing and building our home together. I was blessed to grow up in a very beautiful family, with very united parents and I try to follow that example.
I grew up in Misiones, which is pure tropical rainforest. I played with my brothers in the middle of nature, admiring God’s creation.
And we absolutely loved going into the woods and camping there. My friends, brothers and I believed we were like detectives, with magnifying glasses and everything, and we all looked for bugs, hunted frogs and chased snakes. We had a lot of fun. That is why I am more of a country girl than a city one, although Falcao is just the opposite. This time though, here in Turkey, I have the opportunity to live in the forest. I really enjoy breathing the smell of fresh earth every day and walking barefoot everywhere while I feel the grass under my feet. That is why I teach my daughters to love and take care of nature. At home, we have a garden where we love to grow lots of fruit and vegetables and, from the garden to our table! I have moved many times, changing countries and all, but I do not lose my habits. At home, we still drink Argentinian “mate” and have a barbecue on Sundays.
FAMILY IS THE GIFT OF LIFE
Having a family is one of the most beautiful things that human beings can experience but it also requires time, effort and dedication. And to be honest, I am very grateful to have the privilege of being able to dedicate myself fully to my daughters, while never losing sight of my dream of becoming a singer. That’s why
I keep taking singing lessons and try to always have a moment to sit around my piano, scribble some lyrics, or rehearse a song. I really enjoy taking care of my daughters, playing with them and watching them grow. I don’t want to miss a minute because time flies by and in the blink of an eye, they will no longer be little girls. That is why I always try to find a balance the Eva Woman Award from Eva Magazine, which highlights women in Latin America who work for the social development of women in different areas. And I feel very honored and very grateful for this award, since from that wonderful experience, my motivation is born so that the recognition does not stop there, but it has a continuity. That is why I created this space for conversation in order to continue helping and supporting women both in their motherhood and career.
